Hello there just wondered if you could suggest some good cancer hospitals in America, as im from the UK im really not sure where to start. I have contacted a place called Roswell park that was suggested on here just wondered if you fellow americans can give me some inside knowledge? i have also received an online form from the memorial sloane kettering cancer hospital which i have to take to my doctor.
As nyc lady has suggested, have you considered Christie's in Manchester? It's one of the biggest cancer centres in Europe. I'm being treated there for appendixAppendectomy cancer, however it was initially thought to be OVCA and the gynae/onc I had (Mr Clayton) was excellent. My cancer is very rare (approx 1 in a million) and usually misdiagnosed and mistreated, he recognised it at surgery, which from the research I've done since is pretty impressive. Christie's also has many national and regional cancer specialitites and the facilities are excellent.
Good luck,
Lisa.
