overian cancer
my mom had a serious pain in lungs(specially right side).when i looked a doctor, he said that she is suffering from flurosil.then after the prescription of the doctor, the dignosis of T.B. started. after some days the doctor found that her fluid was increasing .then he done the montus and also bsankoscopy, but all the results were negative.then our doctor prescribed to make a test of ultrasound of abdomen.in ultrasound we found the there was a 11 cm. tumour in the right overy. the ultrasound report said that it may be an overian cancer.then my doctor done a test of CA-125. the digit of CA-125 came 228. then doctor operated and remove them from the body and send them for biospy and the result is positive.after 20 days thedoctor done again the test of CA-125 and the digit is 21 and doctor also gave one kimotharapy.then tell me can the cancer is spread in the lungs also and which type of test we done for knowing the that cancer has been spread or not.

The CT scan will show you images of abnormal growths, if there are any.
The PET scan will tell you which cells in the body are multiplying very fast. This can be used to deduce if there are cancerous cells in the body, as these cells normally multiply very fast.
The fluid in your mom's lungs could be due to other reasons. TB, as her doctor said earlier, or maybe because she had been confined to her bed for too long, and developed respiratory problems that caused water to enter her lungs.
Do check with the doctor which stage your mom's cancer is at. Ask him about the histology report (the report from the lab where they tested the tumor).

There are two tests to see if the cancer has been spread or not. One test is CT Scan. The other is PT scan. They will show if cancer is there. Yes, it can go to the lungs.
