I am 40 years old and in good health. Two years ago, I had exploratory surgery for chronic pelvicKegel exercises Pelvic adhesions Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid) Pelvic laparoscopy Prostatitis - nonbacterial Uterine prolapse and abdominal pain. My appendixAppendectomy was removed and also my right ovary, which was covered with large cysts. The pain completely disappeared until several months ago. I am getting lower pelvicKegel exercises Pelvic adhesions Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid) Pelvic laparoscopy Prostatitis - nonbacterial Uterine prolapse pain in the exact same place as before, and actually it probably hurts more this time than it did originally. I am assuming that this can only be from scar tissue. Am I correctCorrect (new formula)? If the ovary is gone, what else could there be to cause the pain? Also, for a long time now - probably a year - I have had right lower back/hip pain. I have always assumed it was arthritis because it hurts every day and hurts the most after periods of rest or inactivity. The only other thing that is odd for me is that I am spottingVaginal bleeding between periods in between periods. About 10 days before I should start, I'll have two or three days of spottingVaginal bleeding between periods, then an otherwise normal period. I mentioned this to my gynecologist last November when I had my yearly exam, but he just thought it was because I am getting older. He does not know about the back or pelvic pain. Last year, my 72-year-old mother and my 50-year-old sister were diagnosed with bladder cancer within two months of each other. My mother was a life-long smoker. My sister has never smoked. Other than that, there is no cancer in my family history. Do I have any reason to be at all concerned about these symptoms, and can I wait and mention it in three or four months when I have another check-up?
