pelvic mass, fatigue, swollen glands

by ChristinaFD, May 08, 2007 12:00AM
I have a mass in the area under my pubic hair that my family doctor thinks is an abnormally hard lipoma.  She refered me to a surgeon to talk about having it removed but they haven't done any scans or anything.  I've also had a lot of urinary tract problems, pelvic/lower abdominal pain, swollen glands all over my body and fatigue.  I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I'm worried about cancer and concerned that more tests aren't being done.  Should I be worried?
thanks for your help

Hi There,
It sounds like you need more of an evaluation. you should ask your doctor about what is the ext step. Lipomas are pretty classic in their appearance . It is common is recommend surgical removal. You should ask about getting a CT scan first to look at your abdomen
best wishes
