post hysterectomy overian cancer

I suffered with breast cancer 8 years ago.  Had hysterectomy 12 years ago leaving ovaries. Been experiencing low back pain, discomfort in lower abdomen, similar to period pain although I have no womb, and also need to pass urine more frequently. Is it possible ovarian cancer could be the problem?

Don't let the doctors give up until you know for sure what is causing the symptoms. You probably have nothing to worry about, but it is best to rule out ovarian cancer for certain. I had every symptom in the book for early and late stage ovca. Even though my mom died @ 51 with ovca, docs just dismissed all my symptoms as IBS, being 35, not exercising enough, etc.  I had CA125s that were normal. A scan could have found my cancer earlier. As it turned out, my cancer was found @ age 46 at stage3b. I'll be praying for the best possible outcome for you.

It is always a possibility. Breast and ovarian are related. Do you have cysts? They can cause problems and should be monitored.

I wish so much there was an ovarian cancer test!

Please be persistent with you gyn to find out why you're getting these pains.

Best of luck.
