post-laparotmy pain

by mizzilizzi, May 19, 2007 12:00AM
I am two weeks post-laparotomy and am still feeling alot of sharp pain on my lower leftpelvic area.I had a large ovarian cyst and the left ovary removed. The incision seems to have healed well but it feels like an internal rip and I have alot of diarhea (diarrhea)-like lower back cramp. Is this normal healing?Thank you for your advice and time.

Hi there, please see my last two postings. Yes it is normal. take it easy. No heavy lifting or you will sprain your abdominal muscles and then it will take a far longer time to heal.
best wishes
