I am 32 years old and am now 25 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I saw my Ob/Gyn at 8 weeks for an ultrasound and she said everything looked fine. I went back at 19 weeks for another ultrasound and she said I had a small mass on my right ovary about 1cm. She said she noticed it on the 8 week ultrasound but thought that it was probably just the Corpus Lutum. She told me not to worry but just to make sure she takes a look at it when I go in for my scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. She said that at my age and with no known familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources history I shouldn't lose any sleep. I am just wondering what else this could be on my ovary. I did request another ultrasound at 28 or 29 weeks to see if it had grown at all and my ob/Gyn didn't reccomend that and said that even if the mass had grown 4 or 5 times the original size that she would not change or manage my pregnancy differently and would still deliver me at 39 weeks. Should I be worried? What else could this be? She assured me that she would just look at it when she was doing the c-section. Please advise if this is normalNormal saline flush practice for pregnancy. It just seems like 3 and a half months is a long time to wait... Thank you so much for your response.
