preparing for surgery

preparing for surgery

I posted yesterday and didn't really get to my questions.  Basic info is: I'm 41 with 2 children.  I've had fibroids for several yrs.  On a recent check a transvaginal ultrasound has now shown a 3+cm complex cyst which is also being questioned as possibly an endometrioma in my right ovary.  A CA-125 gave a reading of 68. I do have a variety of symptoms.  I've been referred to a gyn oncologist. Am I correct that whether it is a complex cyst or an endometrioma that surgery is likely?  Will it be necessary to have a biopsy?
Questions are: Is it realistic for me to hope that if there is no malignancy that just the ovarian cyst and the fibroids be removed without any organs via a laproscopy?  Should I expect the dr. to do an MRI or other testing prior to surgery?  Is it reasonable to request (again if no malignancy) that if they
can't just remove the growths and must remove an organ that they just take the uterus and not the cervix or ovaries?  What are the questions I should askthe oncologist at my appt?  What should I ask about de-bulking if there is a malignancy?  How soon should a biopsy surgery take place after finding this complex cyst and consulting with the oncologist?  thank you
