what is the general prognosis for my wife who had fluid in her lungs, it was traced to her ovaries, after a competehysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series revealed microsopic residual cancer in the ovaries. the hysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series was done "after" 6 cycles of taxol/carboplatin (3 hours taxol & 3/4 hour carbo). her ca125 was around 200 initially and has dropped to 10. she is now receiving maintanence doses of 1 hour taxol for 12 weeks. cat scans of her chest (lungs) and pelvis were clear and all the blood levels are normal. her ca125 has been normal since the 3rd cycle of the 6 large infusions. she has completed 4 on the 12 maintanence doses. she feels good, looks great. they are taking her blood for her ca125 after the 6,9 and 12th cycle to monitor the situation.
