quetsion about ct scan..

First of all I want to thank all of you for help and info regarding "the nasty secretary problem" and the pre-op appt info.ESpecially Montie and simplystar. To make it short Montie,Hubby did go "loco" and Doctor called me first thing yesterday! Which given the circumstances was right...Anyway i did find out that the ct scan of the abdomen/pelvis came back ok(except of course for the cyst) but the doctor said this wasn't really done to look at the cyst..so i am wondering what were they looking for? I have not had my cyst removed yet and ca125 was ok..was she just being cautious?

Yeah Mary!! Sounds like your husband and mine might just have a little bit in common.  I'm still waiting for my MRI.  No surgery scheduled as of yet.  Keep us posted, we want to hear how this all turns out.

Hi Mary,
I am a little behind and sorry you had the issues with the office, you have enough to think about already without that nonsense!  So did you ask the Doctor what they were trying to rule out with the CT scan?  Sounds like they had the info they eeded with the US on the cysts so wondering what they were looking for as well.  Glad they didn't find whatever it was but you have a right to know what was ruled out.  Hope you get that alien removed soon, you have waited too long already!  Mary V.

I agree, the nonsense with the office has been really upsetting.
I'm sure they can't wait to see the back of me(and I them!).My surgery is on Nov28 so thankfully it will be out soon. I haven't been able to ask the doctor as to why she wanted the ct scan as the secretary won't give me any info and when the doctor did finally call the other day she didn't get into it(she was calling because my hubby wrote her and  told her we were very upset). I was just noticing that many of the other people have had ct scans and mri's when cysts were discovered and wondered why? Thanks Ravenlady,I agree 6mths is way to long for this to still be going on..I mean God forbid if there's really a problem.

I had to have an MRI when my cyst was discovered on Ultrasound.  I figured that it was just a precaution so that they would have a better idea when they opened me up there would not be any big surprises.  I know it can be a worry but don't cross that bridge until you come to it.  You will feel better, I'm sure once surgery is over.  Good luck
