right adnexum cysts

I had a MRI which revealed a 3.2 cm. right adnexum cyst. Can you explain this. Also, I have been having significant pain in my right groin. Do you think this is causing the pain?

The MRI didn't say what kind of cyst it was. I'm supposed to go get an ultrasound. The only symptom I've noticed is the terrible pain in my groin when I get up from a chair or when I'm walking. Thanks for your response.
