I am 46 years old, have had uterine fibroids for several years, and I was recently told I have a 3cm septated tumor on my right ovary. Although my mother had an ovarian cyst in her 20's, it was not malignant. I've been given blood tests, referred to as "tumor markers" but it will take about 10 days to get the results back. Much of what I've read points to ovarian cancer, but I've also read that only about 6% of septated tumors are actually malignant. What are the odds that a septated ovarian tumor is malignant?
