saw doc about bleeding incision site

Well, I went in to the clinic today and found out why my incision was separating at the navel and bleeding.....I had lifted my one year old niece the other day and she is about 25 pounds (really, really dumb of me, I know) and the doc said I probably popped a stitch (nursepatient, you were right!) and the good news is, there is no infection.  He cleaned it out and put more steri-strips on it and they have to stay on another week to ten days.  But it should be alright as long as I don't lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for awhile.  I guess I didn't realize how slowly it heals inside.  Some advice for ya'll that just had surgery or are having it soon.....don't lift!!!!!!  Sonie, hope your doing okay sis.  Haven't heard from you today, but I hope that means you are resting and taking it easy.  Love and hugs to all...........Dawn.

Hey Dawn, maybe you could use some of that wild oregano oil that Ela was talking about on this thread.  You probably can't drive anyway with your back out, so going to the dr. would be a pain.  Is it alot, or just a small bit?  I can't think of anything since I did not have that happen to me.  Just try not to be too active (I know!!)  Take it easy ~ Tascha

Glad you are going to see the dr.  When will we learn to take it easy.  We worry so much about all those around us that we forget to take care of ourselves.  I am glad we have this site to go to and each other to remind us that we are important too and can't do any body any good if we are not taking care of us!!  Love you all

Well that is one way to make sure that you stay put and rest!!!  Popcorn and pickles?  Sounds good.  Take it easy and try to get better.  I think these things happen because we think we feel good and start to go back to our normal routine when in fact our bodies are not quite ready yet.  Go easy girl, I am thinking about ya!

Hey ,its great to hear that there is no infection...You need to do like i should have done ..Take it easy...I know that you have been told this a hundred times but i will tell you again..No lifting ...It would have been great if i would have took everyones advice..I go see the surgeon again next week,they said with all the moving around and lifting and bending that more than likely the imflamation is still bad ,they are going to do a nother ct scan to make sure everything is alright..Or atleast i think that is why they have me coming in..I dont know the doctor made the appointment yesterday...I just never figured the pain could last this long..And i think that i have pulled a muscle in my back from sneezing so much and trying to hold it in,and today i sneezed and it felt like i pulled something loose where my right ovary used to be..Did you get your email from ravenlady..I was going to email her today and i ended up at my daughter school all day today popping popcorn for popcorn and pickle day...lol..hugsssssssss...lou

Glad to hear that there is no infection:-)  Just do what doc says and take it easy!!  It is hard for us not to jump back into our lives, but you need the rest so that your body can heal properly. Sending hugs.

I had a large incision on my belly and was not healing properly for 14 days after surgery. I was intrduced to "Wild Oregano Oil"by Hedd Wyn as a topical ointment or internal drops. After 2 days applying to my wound on top of steri strips ...everything started to heal perfectly.Redness disappeard and "staph"bacteria was destroyed to promote safe healing.
WORKS like a charm. If you use full strength be preapred for little stinging.If you want to delute it use only high grade Olive Oil-cold pressed not refined and do it 1:1 ratio.
