stomach cramps

When I'm not having nausea I get these terrible cramps, both stomach and intestines, when I eat anything. I vomit but the cramps persist, I've tried GAs X, Pepto, etc. My doc prescribes things for nauses which is not the problem and don't help! Any ideas?

I haven't had Gemzar, but I have the same problem you describe from the Taxol.  I'm having it administered abdominally, and I've found that it really helps to eat very little right after you get treated, and to eat only soft foods.  I've been subsisting on soups, fruits and yogurt for 4 or 5 days after treatment, and that helps a lot.

I gess I wasn't very clear....I'm on Gemzar now after having 8 taxols...So anyway my onco isn't very concerned about my gas pain but it's awful to live with every day. Has anyone else had this problem with Gemzar and if so, any advice?

Hi Monnie and Welcome to the Forum!  That sounds terrible!  So what gastro type tests have you had?  Give us a little more history.  Have you seen your GYN?  We are here to listen.  Mary V.
