taking some time off

I am taking some time away from the forum because I have just too many family things to handle right now. My thoughts however, are with you all.  Find peace in your daily lives and strength in your fight against this damn disease.  Leslee is attending a 2 day conference  right now, and when I get her reports on that info I will pass it on. It relates to new advances in both medical and natural  treatments for cancer.  A panel of experts from many countries are gathered to put together a universal framework of known treatments.  Marty

Hi Marty...Just to wish you well, and hope the break is good for you. I have a break off here occasionally too, otherwise it sometimes becomes too much of an obssession, There is life over and above cancer, so I like to get out and about and enjoy it most of the time.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter break, and I hope you all feel well enough to enjoy the chocky eggs. :-)    Easter hugs to all...Helen...

So thrilled to read about Leslee's meeting up with these ladies,,especially the Sweedish doctor..I also took ginger tablets but mostly when I had a 2 month gap in between chemos and continued while on chemo too..But stopped cause was concern that I maybe over working the kidneys,,so I think drinking loads of water is very important in this case.  BTW I have send you an email about a man who believes he cured himself by drinking a vegetable concoction..
Thank you for all the time, research, feedback and concern you have shown us on this forum.. Your family comes first, so you take as much time as you need but do check in with us once in a while and let us know how everyone is doing.
Will miss you a lot

I must pass this news on, today at the first day of the conference, Leslee became aquainted with 3 cancer survivors, one is a woman onocologist from Sweden, a 12 year survivor of OVCA,  she is attending the conference as a promoter of using natural  products along with chemo, she tells about the use of ginger capsules daily to adhance the ability of the chemos to kill cancer cells.  She also tells of the use of bio identical progesterone creams. The onocologist not only runs a large cancer clinic but is instrumental in gathering  evidence of the natural products available from different countries.  The other 2 women, 1 is a 9 year survivor of breast cancer and the other one  a  BRAC positive that has survived 5 years with both breast and OVCA.  Leslee ended up teaching a class today,  because an instructor did not show up, it was sign language class,  and was attended by those that work with deaf women with cancer. Leslee found out there is a hugh interest in the natural products,  she said there were reps there from many cancer centers in the states and some from other countries.
