update on mum and question??????

hi all, hope your all doin well. mum still no better 2 and a bit weeks post surgery, still has very bad pains in tummy and now has sharp pains going up her back, have called doctor awaiting response. has anyone else had these pains in the back? thanks to anyone who can reply to this. x

hi thanks for your responses. she is walking as much as she can, but pain is quite bad, bowel doc phoned he said her bowel has gone into spasm (bowel over working), has given her some meds for it, so hopefully will settle in a few days.

Right, talk to here dr.  Also, maybe she could get up and move about a bit, it could help.  You and your mum are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

If she is spending most of her time lying down, or simply sitting around the home during her recovery, then it is no wonder she has pain in her back.  If I recall correctly, then your mother has otherwise remained very active.  All this lying about can cause discomfort and pain for the normally active person.

Do consult with her doctor on the matter, however, to be certain there is not a true medical problem causing the pain.
