upper abdominal bloating

by kadams524, Jul 01, 2009 06:58AM
I have had bad pap smears in the past 4 years so go to gyn every 6 months. This upper abdominal bloating started in December 2008 and I have been to gyn since then with no change in my pap. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy in April 2009. Results...I have melanosis in coli in my large intestine due to Colon Cleanz (I took for bloating) for too long. No ulcer or hernia visible. Could this be a symptom of ovarian cancer?

There are numerous symptoms of ovarian cancer, many of them silent.  If you are worried I would suggest you see your GYN, requesting a CA125 and a vaginal ultra sound.  If there is cause for further concern, you should see a GYN/ONC as soon as you can get an appointment. Most likely, it is not anything to worry about. But, if you are concerned, you should follow it through until you are satisfied. Good luck.
