uterine biopsy

I am a 27 year old female who is still a virgin. I have had bleeding in between periods for the past year. I went to the doctor on Thursday who referred me to a ob/gyn for a possible biopsy of my urterine lining. I may be given a papsmear also. Would I need a papsmear since I am still a virgin? Also, what would be done during a uterine biopsy?
