what can we expect?

my mother was recently diagnosed at stage 3b and it was determined to be epithelial/clear cell carcinoma.  there was also one lymph node involved.  she's 56 & in otherwise good health...just recovering from surgery now.  i know that the clear cell is considered the most chemo-resistant but wasn't sure how often patients diagnosed with this type fail to respond to chemo.  her doctors still want her to go through the 6 cycles.  i know it's early in the process but what are the odds the chemotheraphy will work and she'll reach remission?
