Joanne and Bohan54 have given you good suggestions for your friends' Mom.  Ask her if she would like to join the forum and bring her questions here.  I'm not sure if there is a Uterine Cancer Forum.  She also needs to talk in detail about her mother to the doctor!!!  I assume it is a gyn oncologist.  We really don't have enough information.  Lung Mets are different from a secondary cancer.  You haven't mentioned further treatment.  I would suspect that they are going to try chemotherapy.  You are at the Ovarian Cancer forum.  Was the origin ovarian?  I'm not sure if cancer in the uterus has the same protocol as ovarian cancer.  If it is one tumor and has been removed a combination of radiation and chemotherapy might be the standard.  I'm not sure.  The lungs could be addressed with chemo and radiation.  It depends on how much cancer you are talking about.  Chemotherapy works very well with aggressive cancer.  Chemo is designed for fast growing cells.  Hopefully the right chemo will work the first time and give her a remission.  As far as her prognosis...it all depends on how her cancer reacts to her therapy.   Hope this helps....Cindy

This question can't be answered by anyone especially as to how much time she has left. I would think they would probably start chemo or radiation as Bohan54 stated.  Your friend needs to write her questions down and ask the Onc at the next appointment.  Many of us with ovca have residual disease left after a debulking surgery and some of us are a aggressive grade of cancer as well. It doesn't mean that it's over and there will not be any other treatment.  Good luck~~~~Joanne

No one here is in a position to answer your questions.  I am sorry about your friend's mother.  Her doctors will provide a treatment plan, either to start chemo/radiation to reduce the cancer or palliative care.  Palliative care means keeping the patient as comfortable as possible when the disease is incurable.
