Hi Nina,
I would have thought that you need to be referred to a Gynecologist as well, to address your ovarian cyst.  Perhaps speak to your doctor regarding this.

Good luck.

Well I know I am not to much help, but I am going thru the same thing. I have an 91/2 lest ovarian cyst, and It started to hurt recently. Sharp pains, and lower back pains. I am only 22, and all my friends and myself asked the same question. Why if I am so young? As I read more, and more the courageous stories of this amazing woman, it gives me hope and more knowledge. I have my surgery this Wednesday coming up, and I have felt more anxious than anything. My mom had breast cancer in addition with two other relatives. But ever since I found this website, I have being able to "cope" with the situation. I hope that everything will be good for you, and you have to remember that you will always have someone who will listen to you at this page.

Hi Nina,

I have cysts too and waiting for results. You are young and it is worrying, but you have come to the right place.  This is a very supportive forum, and you can become very well informed.
My niece was also very young (16 years) when she had an 11cm cyst removed from her ovary, which turned out to be benign.  She is now 20 and has a lovely little boy.  Try not to worry and we are all here to support you.

Peace and love

Hi,
sorry you are going through this , many women have cysts and as nyc says most are benign. Are the doctors saying you will have the cyst removed or are they just monitoring it at the moment ?. You are very young so the chances are all will be fine .
Let us know what the doctor has said about it .

   Take care  Angie

No complex does not mean cancer, it just means that there is solid matter inside the cyst.  Most ovarian cysts are benign, over 90 percent and you are young which is also good.
What is the follow up?  When do you see the GYN again?
