1 week after vertical lapraotomy staples removed questions

Today my non to gentle dr removed my staples 1 week after surgery told me insicion might open in places but not to worry that was ok.  also not to worry about putting anything on it if it did....does this sound right to anyone?  Have had 3 prior c-sectons and somehow this does not sit well with me.  Also thought lower half of incision looked and felft infected... mind u my first csect was vertical incision and also got infected so kinda know how it feels but doc says its fine.. Plus are the doctors suppose to cut through your old scar tissue or beside it?  Looks like doc cut me with a hack saw looks awful.   Also has anyone had any trouble gaining fluid like ten pounds worth and high blood pressure after surgery?  Any imput would be greatly appreciated

I never had staples but stitches that wer removed 5days after op. I also had laparotomy, my 1st surgery, 8stitches but the last part of incision was not stitched, left open 2heal on its own. My mum would wipe my wound with warm salt water, apply betadine &cover it with gause. Im not sure why your doc said not 2put anything on it but salt water heals, hope that helps u.

This sound much worse than average.  I did not have staples myself, but most do not report this sort of horror story, either.  Your concerns should be addressed with your doctor.
