11cm adnexal right mass

Hello,  I would kindly like a second opinion.

I saw a doctor 1 month ago to complain about something that felt weird inside me.

Since then, I've been to:

1 ultrasound
1 CA-125 blood test
1 CT Scan

They found a 12x10x9cm cyst, composed of both a solid and cystic mass with multiple encapsulated cysts present.  The largest cyst measures 5cm, and an additional one of 4cm.

The CT Scan findings also indicate 'significant ascites in the cul-de-sac along with a 3cm component of mass.'

The CA-125 test has not come back yet.

Since I discovered this, I've gained 5 inches in my waist, and gained 10lbs in weight (from 115-125lbs - on a thin and small body).  I feel like I am about to explode.

I am only 27 years old.

My doctor tells me she thinks its just a dermoid cyst, while the radiologist reading the CT Scan says "the findings are consistent with the suspicion of ovarian carcinoma."  I am scheduled to go to surgery to have it removed.

What are the chances this is ovarian cancer?

Over 95% of all cysts are benign so that and your age are improving the odds that this is benign.  I hope that your surgery is very soon so that you can hopefully get some relief and peace of mind.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I know it is very scary. I have a 4 cm complex cyst that aI will see a surgeon for on the 7th. My DR isn't telling me anything. Which is scaring me more. My report which I requested from my medical records says that mine may be a hemorragic or a cystic neoplasm so I am in the dark.

I am so glad this place exists until I can get to my surgeon on the 7th. I wish you all the best and wish I had something to tell you but this is all new to me. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help.

(((((BIG HUGS))))))
