14 year old daughter

Hello everyone,
My 14 year old daughter just had emergency surgery to remove a 9cm cyst from her ovary/ tube that was twistted 4 times around.
My question is how long does it take to get the results back from the pathologist?
Also when will her swollen belly go away?

Swollen belly will go away within 4 weeks. But tell her to take lot of rest and eat healthy food.
It takes 4-5 days to get detailed report.

Did they do a frozen section during the surgery?  They can sometimes tell from that if they think the path will come back benign or malignant.  The regular path report takes a couple of weeks, from my experience.  The swelling takes quite awhile, several weeks, to go away.  Her insides have been through a great deal of trauma.  Make sure she doesn't try to do too much too soon!  Rest and heal!

Hope you and she receive positive results!!!!
