I have also gained about 15 pounds since my surgery in April 2007.  I had my left ovary removed along with "most" of the endometriosis.  There were two benign masses on the ovary.  I feel also that I have more depression and feel tired as a result.  None of this was happening prior to my surgery.  I excercise, very active, and diet.  At one point I could have been considered anorexic with my dieting, although you would not know it by the lack of weight loss!  Let me know if you find any answers in your search as I will let you know!  I wish you good luck and hope!
Take care,
Rita

Hi, just to add to what Trudie has said...your hormones may be off a little.  Maybe your doctor can do a work up?

Take care.

Gaining weight like that is not something that normally happens to us when they have surgery for an ovary removal.  You should be able to still get pregnant with the one remaining ovary.  I would like to suggest that you get a check up with your doctor and ask for another transvaginal ultrasound to ensure you haven't got a cyst on your remaining ovary.  That can prevent you from getting pregnant and might be a reason for the weight gain (I gained 10 lbs with my cyst which disappeared within a month of my surgery).  Good luck.
