bilateral hypervascular ovarian masses. If someone could please help, My 18 year old daughter received a pelvic ultrasound with the finding to be as stated the uterus is anteverted measuring 8.3 x3.7 x4 cm. There is a thickening of endometrial echo at 17mm. No free fluid within the endometrial cavity.
In the right adnexal region, there is a solid heterogeneous mass with hyprvascualarity measuring 9 x 4.8 x5.5 cm. The mass is predominatly solid with only small cystic components.
1.In the left adnexal region, there is also a predominatly solid lobulated heterogeneous mass measuring 7.6 x5.6x 4.4 cm. Hypervascularity is also seen within this mass.
Impression Bilateral complex soldid hypervascular ovarian masses in the right being slightly larger then left.
2. thickened endometrial echo. No intrinsic myometrial mass.
Please if someone can better help explain this to me I will appreciate this. I will be taking her to gyn/oncologist in the am.
Thank you p2betrue
What did the pain feel like? As I've been having pain in my pelvis & near my hip, I think I may have a cyst. I've also got a mirena coil. Good luck with your op x
thank you for your comment,I saw the consultant he has decided to do a laparotomy as soon as possible, I am so nervous about this anyone have experience of this who can give advice please? thank you
Hi,
It is good that the CA125 levels are normal and that is quite reassuring. However the size of the cyst is large and also it is a complex cyst. Hence removal of the cyst may be the best approach. This can be done either by laparoscopy or lapartomy as per surgeon’s advice. This will also help determine the nature of the cyst.
Take care and good luck.
