Adnexal cyst
Hello...I had an ovarian cyst surgically removed 2 years ago in 2007.
Recently my pelvic sonogram reveals a mildly complex adnexal cyst 2.5x1.53x1.72cm in my ovary; where few internal echoes and/or septations are visible. Cyst is not hypervascular & no solid nodularity seen.
However, it appears on the same side where my ovarian cyst had been removed previously so I am quite concerned.

I was told most adnexal cyst resolves by itself without any further treatment.
However, juz want to know...what is yr opinion? Thanks.

It's not very large, so it could resolve on its own.  Complex cysts usually require the most monitoring for abnormalities but they describe this one using very tame words.  It might be one that could just be watched for awhile to see if it goes away in a month or two.  Are you feeling any strong (or subtle) symptoms that could be blamed on it?  Have you received any recommendations from the doctor regarding it yet?
