I am 19 years old and had my left ovary removed in August due to cysts. After the procedure I menstruated continuously for about a month. Now my cycles are normal as I am on contraceptive pills which helps regulate it. I used to have pretty normal bleeding with minimal, almost no pain. Although now during menstrual cycles I experience heavy bleeding accompanied with extreme pain that sometimes almost feel unbearable. I used to be quite fit, exercising twice a day almost everyday. After my recovery I tried really hard getting back to where I was but I'm simply just not getting there. It actually feels like I've gained weight although I'm eating healthy and exercising regularly like I used to. My belly is swollen in the pelvic area and I haven't been able to wear any tight fit jeans/pants since the surgery as it is uncomfortable and sometimes causes pain. Also I've been experiencing some serious acne problems and are suffering from depression. I don't know what to do anymore. I have taken medication to treat each "symptom" individually, although nothing has worked yet to reduce the inflammation, pain and other things I've mentioned.
Is this all just side effects of the procedure that will go away eventually with time, does this all add up to some bigger health problem, or is the discomforts I'm experiencing completely unrelated to my ovaries and the procedure that I've undergone?
