Bladder Issues

by motherof2cuteones, Feb 08, 2009 10:41PM
Has anyone else had the following urinary problem after being diagnosed with a cyst?
When I am about halfway finished urinating - a severe cramp like pain starts in my bladder and feels like it stretches across my abdomen.  I have had UTIs before but they never EVER felt like this.  I had a cantaloupe sized endometrioma several years ago (surgically removed), and it caused pain when I needed to urinate the pain eased up as I went.  This is the opposite of that.  No pain until I'm almost finished urinating and then it really kills.  Anyone experience anything like this or know what this could be?  The anti-biotics that my Dr. prescribed aren't doing a thing.  I've been on them for a week now and no change for the better.

Thanks!

My pains were different but I could imagine that depending upon the size and location of your cyst that the bladder emptying might readjust the position of other inside organs and then causes pain.  Good luck with everything and I hope you can get rid of this soon.

I agree with trudie. When your bladder is full, it pushes on the ovaries. Then as u empty the bladder the pressure decreases off the ovaries and causes the pain. I know what its like, because it happens to me. If it really bothers u call your doctor.

I received my report today.  It says that I am showing a small cyst inside my left ovary.  The thing that is strange is that it mentions Hemorraghic cyst but it also mentions that it appears to be solid.  Can hemorraghic cysts be solid?  I thought they were corpus luteum cysts that bled into themselves.

I only have my left ovary - after  a laparotomy 2 years ago to remove my uterus, right ovary and cantaloupe sized endometrioma.

I'm so confused.  Do I just wait and watch it or do I move on it b/c of the solid component?

Ask your doctor and follow his advice. I am not familar with that kind of cyst.
