Can anyone help? Post op complication

I was wondering if anyone can help i had a 20cm demoid cyst removed via a vertical laparotomy 8 weeks ago along with my left ovary and left fallopian tube, my recovery has been normal with not too much pain. However the past few days or so i have had some discomfort (not pain) in the right side of my lower abdomen, it feels like a tugging/pulling feeling almost like my muscles have been stiched up too tight. When i press down on the right side where the discomfort is i can feel something (hard to explain what it feels like) but i can push it down and the discomfort goes then a few seconds after the discomfort comes back and i can feel it again, its a really strange feeling and only happens when im sat down. Could this just be part of the heeling process? Or could it be because the muscles are getting used and are starting to tighten again. Getting worried that it could be another cyst on my right ovary :(

Does it feel more like the muscle than the ovary? I dont think you are supposed to be able to feel the ovary or cysts unless they reach a decent size.
I dont know how your surgeon done your operation, but I was told they dont cut muscles any more, so there should be no stitches at your side (I think). They do cut the tendon part of one layer of stomach muscle though, but that is right down the middle.
Your muscles could very easily tense up, especially if you use them differently than you normally would and arent able to stretch your stomach. I have also read about people complaining about muscle knots here, might fit your description better. Massage should help both.

Have you had your post op consultation yet? If not, you could ask them about it or see if they can examine you for some peace of mind.
Good luck.

Yeah it feels more like muscle than an ovary or cyst, and this is at the side about a cm up from my hip bone. It's just strange because i can only feel it on the right side and not the left so thats what made me worried, I've read up about muscle knots and it sounds like it could be one on them, although its not painful its just like a tugging feeling. Can you get a muscle knot and it not be painful? Saying that i had started having back pain again

Yeah i went for my 6 week check up and everything was fine, i've only had the strange feeling for a few days. I am going to try massaging it tonight and see if that makes any difference and if not i will go back to see my doctor. Thanks for your help
