Collapsed cyst

What happens when you have a collapsed cyst but you dont have your period anymore? I am in intense pain and very sick. I went to the ERlast week and they said my left ovary had a cyst that collapsed and is 1.5 cm now with palpations??? Can you help or give some kind of insight.

I having the same problem I was in the er a week ago and they told me I have a cyst that is 4.9 cm and I went to my doctor who acted really ierd b/c I didn't want to wait till it got to 6cm. Anyway I finally got an appointment for surgery all the way in Feb. Anyway last night I was in more pain then I've experienced so far. I went to the er and they didn't even check me or anything just gave me a shot of pain med and sent me home with a prescription for pain meds. I woke up this morning and felt even worse then last night went to a different er and found out that it callapsed. I'm still in so much pain even with all the pain meds. I'm so pissed at my doctor....

are u post menopausal or just on a different day of ur cycle ?
how old are u and what tests did they order ?
sounds like they meant 1.5 cm with papillations (tiny finger like extrusios from the epithelial/surface of the ovary) ... generally benign but differentiated types can suggest that they need to investigate it further ... so far what treatment / observation options have u discussed with ur gyn ??
good luck
