Complex Septated Ovarian Cyts

I have been diagnosed with a comlex septated ovarian cyst.  I had the first transvaginal ultrasound on June 16 and a followup one on August 9.  I was told that to be sure the cyst was benign, it should be resolved in 6-8 weeks.  Instead the second ultrasound revealed that it had increased in size slightly.  The measurement of the ovary was 3.3 x 3.1 x 3.4 originally and on followup it was 4.8 x 2.8 x 3.5.   The cyst was originally 2.6 x 2.5 x 3.3 and on followup 3.9 x 2.5 x 1.8.  I am  concerned about the fact that it is complex and septated.  From what I have read, this is not a good thing.  I was supposed to see a GYN today to find out what the situation is.  They cancelled because their computer system was down.  Any thoughts out there.  I am going crazy just thinking about it.

I have gone to my doctor and he immediately suggested laparoscopic surgery to remove definitely my right ovary with the cyst and possibly the left if he can get to it.  He had me get a CA125 which was good.  He said if it were elevated he would send me to a gynoncologist.  Luckily it was nt.  I am scheduled for surgery on the 24th of October.  I would insist on a followup sooner.  Good luck to you!

I am now going to a different GYN but not until September 30.   My report said the same thing, 6-8 weeks.  My family doctor told me the same thing - 3 months!   I requested that it be done in the 6-8 week time frame and they ordered it.  But, now I can't get into a GYN doctor until the end of September.   They scheduled my first appointment on August 10 for September 7.  I don't think they believe that we know anything!  But, I know my body and I research what I find out the problem is.  I don't like what the results could be!  If there is a serious problem I don't want toknow 2 months from then, I want to  know now!  But, I am waiting until the 30th because  don't like the practices of the first doctor they referred me to.  I will let you know.  If I were you, I would insist on a followup sooner!   I hope you situation works out okay.  Let me know also what you find out.
