Cyst that burst

I have been having a lot of pain in my right side. My doctor says she thinks it may be an ovarian cyst. A few days after I went to the doctor, I was at work and my stomach starting hurting really bad. As I stood up to walk back toward my office I started trying to pass out. I finally got to where I could sit down and I was sweating. I finally got myself back together and did not pass out. I called the doctor's office and told them. She said it sounded like the cyst burst. Is this normal and has anyone had the same symptoms that I had when the cyst burst??

When I was 18 I was living in Hawaii and I was Queen Iolani Palace and I passed out.  Fortunately Queens Hospital was across the street.  They had to do a "bikini" line surgery to remove several large cysts and cluster cysts.  I passed out because some of them had already burst.  Five years later TO THE DAY I was working PT at Baptist Hospital and I passed out.  They got me to the ER and I told the Dr I had burst cysts.  He patted me on the head literally,  called me Dr Hayes and I laid in that hospital racking up bills a 23 yr old can't afford and than they did a laprascopic surgery where they found again that some had burst and some had not.  I was furious that they didn't listen to me and he said that all the other Drs thought it was a "radical" procedure considering my age.  WTF is that about.  I hate the age thing.  You are never to young or old to get ANYYTHING.
It isn't pleasant, but it is normal behaviour for cysts. It might have been bigger cysts, because women get small cysts that go away all the time and some of those shrink naturally and some pop, but it is usually the cluster cysts or larger cysts that hurt when they burst.
I hoped this helped to reassure you that you are okay.  Good luck.

I hope you're revisiting your Dr. or is that it?? I'm assuming you're no longer in pain. I have no experience with the bursting, but I would want to make sure that it wasn't something else. I know one of the ladies on here has had that happen a lot so hopefully she'll check in ..

Please keep us posted,
Sandy

Hopefully someone will come along that can tell you for sure that they had a cyst burst and had those symptoms. I have had something similar to your pain, where I could not even get out of the bed all day but still don't know what caused it, burst cysts, twisted ovary, gastro??  I just wanted you to know that I have had something similar so you wouldn't feel all alone.  Did the doctors office want you to come in and have an ultrasound done?  Let us know, hope you are better now.
