Cyst's

Hi im a 17 year old girl and ive had a large, hard stomach for as long as i can remember. But recently its become more and more noticable. Ive been asked over 10 times if im pregnant in the past year. Im not obese, im just big. Im active and eating normally but my stomach doesn't shrink. I had a cat scan done yesterday and today was told to see a specialist because of a 31 cm cyst on my pelvis. Because of the cyst my stomach is swollen making me appear bigger. I was wonder what choices i have to get rid of it?

Hi and welcome to the forum.  The ladies are all right, your only option is surgical removal.  Do you have an appointment scheduled yet with the specialist?  You cyst is extremely large and it needs to come out.  You will be amazed at how much better you will feel with the cyst gone.  Please keep us updated on how you are doing.

I just had a 24 cm cyst removed.  If you have any questions or concerns about removal of a cyst that large, let me know.  Although it was major surgery, it wasn't as big a deal as I was expecting.  Prepare for your recovery and you will be just fine!

Hi as said above the only choice is surgery, once you have got that size cyst removed you will feel a different person. You are so young to be putting up with that , get it out and enjoy your life without looking pregnant, plenty of time to look like that in the future yeah. have you discussed your options with your dr yet? Take care .

At 31 cm the only option I see is surgical removal. In most cases a cyst over 5 cm is considered for surgery. I hope you'll follow through with the doctors and have this done. I think you'll feel a lot better after the recovery.
