Dermoid Cyst

Hi, I just found out recently that I have Dermoid Cyst. I don't think I know much of it. I was recently at the ER room, and the doctor told me that I had to see a geno. doctor...I schedule an appointment with her for Friday the 19th (only because thats the soonest they can give me) but as I did, she (the receptionist-that was on the phone) had told me the nurse said it was fine, that I can wait one or two week. The doctor had told me I wont be needing surgery unless it I get severe pains.. that I dont get, only because eversince I researched Dermoid cyst online, I have been reading the only way to get rid of it is by surgery. So why are they making me wait?

Dermoid Cysts can cause a host of problems so it is really best to remove them, but they still have a 98% chance of being benign so don't worry yourself sick over it..

If you are not satisfied with the answers given to you, by all means get a second opinion..

i have a cyste the size of a baseball in my left ovary and im in pain alot my stomach is bloated and i have alot of side pains im wonering if amy body has the same thing

I recently went to the hospital because I was having abdominal pains on my lower right side. They did an abdominal cat scan and diagnosed me with a dermoid cyst the size of a grapefruit. I was told to make an appointment with my obgyn. When I went to see her and was told that I was being referred to a gyno oncologist asap. My appointment is in two weeks but I have been having a constent ache in my lower right side and my breast are tender and they feel and look fuller, but what scared me was there was blood in my urine, is that normal for dermoids?
