You have given me some hope here, thank you! Her leg gets numb and weak, especially after driving and, since she's in sales, she must drive every day. We are hoping that, after her cyst is removed, she will see some improvement, also. Since you say it takes some time, we will be patient. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the information. I thought I was way out in left field in thinking there may be a connection. The cyst is scheduled for removal on the 25th of this month. We are sure hoping that it relieves her leg symptoms
Hello fermom.. Yes! the dermoids can cause that... I have been dealing with leg pain, numbness and such when having to be on my feet for long periods of time, like shopping or just walking for periods of time... they would go tingley numb and then get very painful... My doctor, before they discovered the dermoids, said it was because women with more weight in their stomach area sometimes have nerve problems because of it... and that if I lost weight that would go away.. I lost 45 pounds and that did not help.. but, since my surgery, which removed two 10cm dermolids, that has gone away (except for the numbing in my right leg, which is from the surgery and that will come back)... but yes, in my case, the dermoids must have been pressing or causing other internal things to press on nerves.
I also have another friend who went through a similar thing... she had a cyst that was the size of a watermelon in her abdomen.. she was experiencing leg pain as well.. after surgery, her leg pain is gone.
So, I believe that dermoids cause all sorts of things...
Cysts can push on other internal organs and nerves. Mine gave me leg pain when they pressed on my the nerves that go down my leg. How are they treating the cyst?
