Is your doctor wanting you to try Lupron?  If so, I strongly suggest that you do your research on it first.  My old gynecologist wanted me to go on it and after I did my research, I decided that definitely wasn't for me.  Good luck!!  We are here if you need us.

Thank you very much for the information! It was suggested by my doctor to try medication beforehand to decrease its size.I'm going to start soon and i have to admit it's very expensive.I didn't know there was such a disease until just recently and i have been doing my research about it.
I'm glad to have found this forum. Thank you once again.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  I'm sorry that you are going through this at such a young age.  It really STINKS!!  Here is a link that you may want to check out.  It will give you the information that you are looking for.

These types of cysts are very rarely (if ever) cancerous.  Surgery may be required since they very rarely resolve on their own. When do you go see your gynecologist?  More than likely you will need to have a laparscopic surgery to remove the cyst.  Laprascopic surgery is the easier of the two types of surgery.  When you have this type of surgery they will make 3-5 small incisions (about 1" long) to remove the cyst.  Usually you get to go home the same day as surgery.  Recovery time is usually 2-4 weeks (sometimes women feel back to normal in a week, but that is pushing it!).  If you have a laparotomy, you will have either a vertical incision going from your bellybutton down to your pubic bone, or a bikini cut that goes from pubic bone to pubic bone.  With type of surgery you can expect a 2-5 day hospital stay and a recovery time of 6-8 weeks.  Please know that we will be here to support you and advise in any way we can.  Keep us updated on how you are doing and what you find out.
