Does anyone else have a cyst AFTER having both of your ovaries removed?

Hi everyone.  I am so excited that they set this forum up.  A bit of history on me, I had a hysterectomy in 2001, left ovary removal for a 12cm cyst (laproscopic surgery that went bad and ended up with paratanitis due to urter tube being ripped out of bladder) in 2005, right ovary and 10cm cyst removed in 2006.  I have had lots of pain over the last year and have had 3 cyst ruptre from the small bits of ovary that were left behind (both ovaries were attached to bowels, bladder, and colon).  I am now facing another surgery due to a cyst because it is completely wrapped around my urter tube that was reimplanted in my bladder.  I go see the GYN who is doing the surgery on May 20 (earliest possible appointment for a new patient :(   I was just wondering if anyone else is going through this.  Any info or stories you have would be great.  Kasie

P.S. You know I always want to hear how you are coping with this Pam.  Love you.

Hey - I know how you feel....seems like it is just  you and me these days.  Wonder how Dawn is and if she is still having troubles?
If it makes you feel any better, I am starting to notice some of the signs, pains, pulling and twitches...especially after sex...never had them before.  Guess I will be back at the ONCs office sooner then expected.
Love you,
Pam

Hello! It's been awhile. I read on the other site things weren't going well. I'm sorry to hear you'll need surgery again. As always, you and your family will be in my prayers. Paula

Hi Kasie,
There is a condition called ovarian remnant syndrome. There can be a fragment of functional ovarian tissue left behind after surgery and it can grow, often slowly but causes alot of pain. From what I have read it can bleed into itself, repond to hormonal stimulation. It can cause cyclic pain on the vagina, abdomen, bladder and rectum.
Surgery can remove the fragments.... I wish you the best with your surgery and complete and speedy recovery. Keep us posted

Hi everyone...Love this new forum...so very needed. Hi Pam,I have an appointment on Tuesday to see my gynae about possible surgery again after a CT scan showed ovarian tissues with large cyst(I had my left ovary removed last May cos of a large tumor) but it never really completely felt right...lots of abdominal and pelvic pain...and bladder issues. Today, I feel like I am six months pregnant even though I had a hysterectomy in Jun-2006....I'm very swollen...in lots of pain to a point where I find it hard to sit, sleep and stand for long.I'm not too thrilled about surgery again-but if anyone has any other remedies....I would love to find out about it ....Please share it...thanks alot.
