*FINALLY* Surgery set for 8/28

Dr's are starting to get concerned and are finally looking for answers.  I have been dealing with abdominal issues for 7 months.....my PCP wrote me off as IBS and sent me on my way.  I excepted that for about three months and then started seeking alternative explanations.  Had ultrasound which showed a 2cm complex cyst on left ovary.  Dr. says not a big deal...have a nice life.  I say BS monitor it.  Pains in abdomen continue to intensify have CT and MRI as well as blood work.  Results....WBC on the high side of normal, 8mm hypodensity on spleen, multiple mesenteric lymph nodes 1cm+.  Confirms ovarian cyst.

Approach is wait and retest.  In the meantime pain increases.  Wound up in the ER two weeks ago thought I had appendicitis, turns out it was a new cluster of swollen lymph nodes 1cm+.

Dr. is now concerned and going to do an exploratory laparoscopy.  Two surgeons will be present - General and gyn

History:
I am no stranger to surgeries.
Emergency laparotomy to resolve hemmorhaging ovarian cyst - 2001
Laparotomy for abdominal pain removal of adhesions (bowels were wraped around my ovary) - 2003
Laparoscopy for abdominal pain removal of adhesions  - 2005
Laparoscopy to remove diseased right ovary (benign) - 2007

I guess I am just nervous about the unkown.

I suffer from night sweats (intermittanly)
constipation or diarrhea
lethargy
swollen abdomen
you know the usual ****.

SO i guess there is no real purpose to my post but just to share my story, since I have been reading all of yours for over a month now.

Please send me a message if I can ever answer any questions.

Thank you all

Hello Tara,
Goodness, you have had alot going on, haven't you? I hope that they will find what is making you in so much pain. Just throwing in that I had all those symptoms and mine turned out to be my intestines that were scarred and twisted, so if they don't find anything gyno wise, maybe they will look at your intestines too. Good luck, hope to hear good news after your sugery!

Somehow i had a feeling you would be the first to post!  You are always so quick to let everyone on here know that they are being heard and that someone is thinking of them.  Sort of like the "mom" of the forum!

Thank you so much for your well wishes
