Grapefruit sized cyst on ovary! Help.

Hello everyone,
I am a 21 year old who was just diagnosed with a very large cyst on my ovary and am terrified. I had one this size in 2009 and it was removed lapriscopically. My OBGYN also put a net on my ovary to prevent future cysts from growing. Well unfortunately that didn't help at all because I am literally having dejavu. Like anybody I want to avoid surgery at all costs but I am in so much pain and can't seem to do anything without getting tired and having pains on my right side. I was prescribed with vicodin for the pain and birth control to try and level out my hormones. My question is should I just go ahead and push for the surgery or should i wait it out and see if it goes away on it's own. My fear is that if I wait too long it will rupture or twist and cause me more severe pain (like before) or also grow in size and risk losing my right ovary all together. My OBGYN doesn't seem worried at all and i am freaking out about it. Someone please help me! thanks :))

THe mesh you are talking about is something my Gyn Onc said is a nice to have but only works some of the time.  If it is just fluid filled, waiting, although painful is so much less intrusive.  I am assuming at this point it has been seen clearly through a sono?

Take care.

HAve you been on BCPs?????  That usually will stop the production of cysts as you will not be ovulating.   Personally, I would wait and see vs having an operation.
