Had cyst removal yesterday

Yesterday I had my 12cm ovarian cyst removed.  I had a prophylactic hysterectomy done too. Inam 47.5 to and my ca 125 was in the 200s. The surgery was by a team of gym oncos with the assumption of ovca and staging operation a
Followed by chemo.

Instead the cyst was endimetrioma big grapefruit and ovary was size of 10 weeks pregnancy. Everything was cleaned up scar tissue and endo. All done by an laparoscopy by a gifted team.

I was discharged yesterday. Came home 5pm. Surgery went on from 8am-12:40. My pain is not too bad. I had extreme nausea to anasthesia. A few meds.

I still cannot believe how things have turned out this time. I have lower back pain and sore throat today. Est recovery time 2 weeks,

I am grateful to the ladies of this forum!

Wow! I'm glad to hear surgery went well, and that they took all precautions. Good luck to a full recovery in the estimated 2 week period!!

Sorry for so many typos. My Uterus was the size of 10 week pregnancy ! I had history of endometriosis for 11 years. Because I am older and CA  125 was high - the gyn onco team assumed malignancy. In December my cyst on left ovary was 5cm. In February it was 7cm. UN may it was 12cm. That's why the suspicion.

The stress was bad enough to be killed. I am otherwise very healthy and hope fir full recovery in 2 weeks.
