Hi Trudie (and Hi Sandy!)
I'm sorry you had a few bumps in the road, but so glad everything is clear and you can come home soon.  Stay on the pain meds, doll... that's why they give them to us.  (Don't try to be the strong guy--I did, and was so glad I read that it was "OK" to stay on the pain meds if I needed them.... it was like I needed permission from someone to do it!  So I'm giving YOU permission)!

I'm doing very well, just really busy.  Most of the time I'm fine, but if I do something that exerts too much "energy", I'm in bed with flu-like symptoms the next day (except for the puking).

If I might suggest to all you ladies out there waiting for surgery, or just recovering--be really careful about summer outings, as the next day isn't worth the price.  I've had a world of fun at BBQ's & Graduations, but the day after isn't worth it.  Everyone will understand if you sit out for awhile.
It is such a surprise to feel so poorly, because I typically feel really like "my old self" and then I do something a bit out of the ordinary, and BAM!  right back down I go for a day or two.

So be careful!
love,
Morrowville

Sounds like she had a rough time but it's so good to hear she's headed home today. I bet she's even happier about that news. She may be a trooper but don't let her get carried away at home. She needs to rest up after having her insides scrambled like eggs. (yes, Trudi, I'm talking about you) It's time to dig out those books you've been wanting to read and take charge of the remote.

Hi:  I have been a bad boy.  I was supposed to post Trudie's status a few days ago.  With all that of what it going on I have been remiss.  Anyway Trudie is doing great.  Operation took about 3 hours with two surgeons.  Unfortunately they could not do an entire hysterectomy as Trudie wanted as her prior surgery left too much scar tissue on one side.  They did however remove one ovary and one tube along with a very huge, non cancerous cyst.  She is in intensive care due to an epi they gave her and, unfortunately, did not get out of icu due to a bed shortage.  Well not unfortunately actually as she has her own room and a very good nurse to person ratio.

anyway they stopped the epi yesterday morning, started her on pain meds.  she was doing great when I left then I got a call at about 9:30 pm last night saying she wanted me at the hospital as she was in a lot of pain.  takes about a half hour to get to the hospital and when I was there she was pretty distressed...uh oh..I was thinking what next..she said if felt like she had to pee and was going to explode...was pretty worried that they nicked something inside.  her catheter looked funny to me so I traced it but didnt know enough about what they were supposed to look like.  Like a cad I left her gown up by accident and when the nurse came in the next time she noticed the catheter was twisted and fixed it....over a litre later..wow...she was resting comfortabley :)  whew.

Saw her today...looks like she might come home tomorrow (Tuesday).  Can't wait.  Getting boring talking to the dog.  Miss my girl.

Anyway she will tell you more I am sure when she gets home.  The babe is a trooper :)

Night all.

Mark

I miss Trudie too.  Like Valerie said, I think she was expecting to stay for 3-5 days.  Hopefully she will be home soon and she is recovering well.  Lets just keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,
Kasie

She went in on Friday and in her posts she said she expected to be in hospital for 5 days at least.
I miss her too, and I sure hope she's doing well and had a positive outcome.
