Hi, thanks for your replies.  I have surgery now on the 11th January, they tried to get me in sooner (because I have such bad anxiety) but couldnt, especially because of the xmas period too.  I had another scan and its now showing well rounded 7cm solid mass, which they said it would do becasue they drained the fluid out! So although the the fluid is benign, I am worried so much the tissue left behind isnt.  3 weeks cant come quick enough.

I had a dermoid that was 12cm, and they took me into surgery the next day.  My doctor said they do not want to let them get so big that they will burst.  It makes me mad that the doctor did not just remove it 4 weeks ago when you were already in surgery.  I would suggest getting it out and maybe you won't have any more problems.  When do you see the doctor again?  Please let me know what you find out.  I'll be praying for you!

Hi, thanks for the reply, Its stressful because I have already had a laporscopy 4 weeks ago where he drained the cyst (he thought it looked a large functional cyst or benign cyst and didnt want to jepordise my ovary) not sure why he thought this as the scan shown it wasnt simple.  I now have the sac left in there, and have another scan tomorrow to see what it looks like, then probably another op.  I worry due to its size it could be cancerous ( I have read the bigger dermoids get over 10cm they can turn malignant).  I now still have it hanging over my head over Xmas.
