Hi. new to board with questions....

Hello everyone,

I recently had a transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound done due to pain in my lower pelvic (just below the c-section scars) and rt lower abdom. area. Frequent urination, frequent night time urination, periods that are irregular anywhere from 12 to 40 days apart and they are mostly spotting with one day of menstration.  I used to be 7 days of moderate to heavy menstration. Unbelievable pain after urination at times and lower back pain.

I was told by my primary doctor that I have a 3.3cm (at the largest area) on my rt ovary. He said it did not appear to be cancer and sent me on my way.

I'm wondering if this should be checked again and if so when? Also, is there more questions I should be asking my doctor?

This may or may not be related I also had horrible pain in the uterus area during my pelvic exam. The doctor could not tell me why.

They most certainly do.  There is a good article on the health pages (top right) that goes into more of the symptoms.

Thank you for the reply and the information!  I will arrange to get a copy of the results.
Do the symptoms sound typical of an ovarian cyst then?

Yes this needs to be checked again.  What type of cyst is it?  Please get a copy of the results and post.  At the very most you should wait two menstrual cycles.  If it is going to resolve on its own it will by then.  You will need another transvaginal and if it is still there you should arrange to have it removed.  You need to insist that they rule out cancer.  The pain could be referred from the cyst.
