I had My Ultrasound...

I had my ultrasound this morning.. Although it was a wonderful experience, and my tech was very informative; I have decided that I will never have another test done on a friday.. After the appointment I realized that I have to wait until the weekend is over to start pushing my doctor for the results! haha..

I have a question though; During the ultrasound the technician was pointing out all the follicles on my ovaries.  I am curious to know if there is a normal range of how many follicles is "ok" to have on an ovary at one time..?? I wanted to ask the technician but we were moving right along, and began discussing other aspects of the exam. (and then I forgot to ask)

I am still feeling a little lost; becasue something is there causing intense pain and I am so tiered of waiting for test results.. But on a happier note the tech did not find anything that she thought couldn't wait until the weekend was done..
If anyone could answer my follicle question though from experience, it would be so appreciated!!!

It might be a sign of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). I don't know much about it myself but we do have a PCOS community forum here at MedHelp where other ladies with PCOS may be able to answer your questions.
