Incision still red and tender after a month

It's been a month since my surgery. The right incision is completely healed over.
The middle one seems okay. The left incision is a thin red line that is tender to the
touch, with a tiny dot on one end, and the area around that incision is still a little
black and blue. I'm going to call the doc's office tomorrow and ask the nurse practitioner,
but wondered if I'm just being alarmist. When I put a damp paper towel on the incision,
it seemed to ease the pain. No fever, bleeding or pus.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Hi there.. I've read all your blogs and feel a little better but what bothers me is that my incision starts to close and the minute one hole closes another one opens. it's frustrating because I'm almost 8 wks post surgery. I'm feeling no pain it's just annoying and I would like to move on with my life and quit being so consumed with my incision. anybody go through the same experience

Hi,
Seems I too was a little bruised for longer than I thought I should be. In my case (the stitiches were vertical,) the one nearest the belly button took the longest to heal totally. Seems like it was "angrier" looking than the other 2. I think it's probably fairly normal (but I'm no Dr.) but if it will ease your mind, it won't hurt to call..
