Is this normal??

First of all thanks for the help on my other post. You all are great.

This is all new to me, i have never had any problems before. I just found out a few weks ago i have ovarian cysts. I am going to have the surgery done....just havent found out the exact date yet. I havent had a period in over 2 months and just last night i got my period. I was throwing up and nauseas all day from the pain and then last night i got my period. Not a normal one, very heavy, very very heavy and lots of clots. Is this normal? I called my doctor but she is not in today. At some point today she wil call back they said. Im suppose to lay here and relax. I have been for a week now!!!! Uggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance for all your help!

dito on that.  I hadn't had one in awhile and about 4 days after diagnosed w/ ovarian tumor, I had a doosey...it lasted 11 days too.  Hang in there.  Keep an eye on it and if you feel that it's to heavy, go to the ER.  Better safe than sorry.  I'm sure that it's just the thick lining shedding due to not having a period for so long.  :)

All of this can be related to the cysts. The heavy bleeding is probably just the lining shedding because you havn't had a period for a couple of months. It is definitely possible for that to be shedding and it is extra heavy cuz of the lack of a period.
Take care and try not to worry.... Things will work out just fine Im sure. Keep us posted
