Lap effects on cycle

Hi
So I had lap to remove a 6cm cyst on my ovary. I am still lightly spotting. Is this normal?

Also we have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months before finding this so are eager to get started trying to conceive again

Does anyone know if the surgery changes ovulation or length or timing of cycle?

Thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
Light spotting after a laparoscopy can be considered normal. Also this procedure will not change your normal pattern of menstruation. Hence cycle length and ovulation will not be affected. Now with the cyst gone your chances of conceiving are better. In case of difficulty consult your gynaecologist.
Hope this helps.
