syd I am curious, what were your symptoms of staph infection?

I think it was a good 3 or 4 months after my first laparascopy and only a few weeks after the second. but give your body a chance to heal itself! I had sex too soon after my second surgery and I got a really bad staph infection.

Don't worry, I wasn't told not to abstain either, we did it 10 days after surgery - very gently!  In fact, I wasn't told anything at all....if it wasn't for this site, I would have been lost!

I had the same surgery with an ovary and cyst removed on April 14th, and my period started the morning of the surgery. I'll let you know when I start mine, maybe it will reassure you a bit. :)

Having your period late is normal after the removal of a cyst. The surgery messes with your hormones, so it could take a few cycles for things to get back to normal. Hope the doctor told you that you should not have sex until 4 weeks after surgery.  Good luck!!
