I have an appt with the GYN next Thursday. Oncologist told me not to drive for at least another week, because the strips he put on the wound won't stay on long and I don't want to do anything to open the incision back up.
But he said I can certainly start working from home (which begins on Monday)... and I will most likely be fully released & ready to go back to the office in two weeks. Start to finish for a full abd. hyst on a fat chick--1 month! Yeee haaaa!!!... all removed, all benign, no signs anywhere of cancer.
Thanks to all the friends on Ovarian Cancer for prayer, support and information.
I hope the ovarian cyst forum grows similar in companionship and love.
I'm a bit worn out (from taking the pain meds before going to the hospital, I think),
so I'm not sure how much I'll be online, but Praise God!
First things first... I GOT MY STAPLES REMOVED!!!! YIPPEEEE! And the Pathology report came back all BENIGN!! Apparently, beside the dermoid, I also had some fibroids and a teratoma... all benign.... soooo happy, sooooooo comfortable (48 staples, btw, we counted them. The doctor said about 10 more fell out on their own)... You can imagine the incision size....
